PINK BEDROOM COMBO

We have sold enough furniture now that we have people that have bought piece's from us call us and ask if we are interested in buying furniture they want to get rid of, how awesome is that! We bought three piece's from a former customer and 2 of them were older french Provencal piece's a desk and a chest of drawers. The desk may have been the ugliest piece of furniture I have ever seen. I think it was one of those things like....Honey, can you refinish this desk and make it look antiquey? He tried or She tried but we bought it at their storage unit, it was'nt in their house.

Here are the before pic's of the dresser. This is how I like to buy them, solidly built and nothing to fix and just needing paint. The drawer inserts were reversible from pink to blue, thought that was interesting.

Here are the finished piece's. I think they look sharp in pink.

How cool is this...a drift wood horse.

This was one of my favorites at the Museum, the first time we saw this we had just turned the corner and were about 50 feet from it and at first glance it was a woman eating all by her self, but it turned out she was a work of art.

This looks like a large photo until you get right up to it and read that it is an oil painting and look at the brush strokes.

NO BEFORE...JUST AFTER

I wish I had taken before photos of this before I started on it, picture....Dark Walnut stain...many scratches, polished Brass pulls and pen and pencil art work in the drawers. On July 30th Dayka posted this great picture of a brown and white dresser on her Life & Style: Meditations on Life and Style blog and I already had this dresser in the garage waiting for me to do something with it and it was some what similar to the one she had on her blog so copied it and I think it looks great, it fools the eye at first when it's shut looking like it has 11 drawers, but opened it's only 6.

PINK DESK, GOTTA LOVE IT.

Michelle finished this desk today and it turned out real cute. We have did a couple of desks now this color and have sold them quickly, so here's another one. Michelle used an old bed spread for the chair seat, I think it looks good with the desk. Some desk are to masculine to do this color combo but this older Bassett desk with hutch top looks really good in sexy pink.
