TRIPLE WHITE BEDROOM SET

We paint and sell a lot of black dresser sets and I have wanted to do an all white set for some time now and we bought this set that I would guess is from the fifties or sixties and it received the triple white treatment...that is everything was painted white. I think it turned out great and we sold it quickly which is always awesome.

BLACK OAK BUFFET REFINISH

This buffet had seen better days, it had been used and abused. We stripped the top and sanded and filled everything else. Repainted buffet and drawers with Glidden Onyx Black paint and the top also received 4 coats of Minwax satin finish polyurethane all the hardware and pulls were cleaned,primed and painted semi-gloss black. This piece was so heavy it is on wheels so it can be moved without picking it up.

A Desk named Hazel II

I'm guilty of being a copy cat...I saw a desk painted this color at another site and wanted to paint one this color also. The color is a Sherwin-Williams color named Hazel and I just think it's a cool color. The desk is a 8 drawer dual pedestal desk that we picked up at a local antique store and the chair was a garage sale purchase from earlier this summer. I painted the chair to match and recovered it with a retro looking black square design fabric. The desk is photographed outside because I couldn't capture the color inside with or without a flash. BLACK BRITISH FURNITURE

Michelle and I don't normally buy antiques and ruin them buy refinishing them, but this piece was begging us to buy it and take it home so we did. I don't really know what this piece is? a buffet, a small home bar, a side table? I do know it was made in London by HERON. We sanded and repainted it with Glidden acrylic latex onyx black paint and changed the knobs and the top received 4 coats of Minwax satin finish polyurethane. We have it for sale on Craigs list for $375.00 it is a interesting piece that will have people taking a second look at. Do you like this? should we have left it alone? feedback please.

1943 CHICKEN DINNER TABLE

We bought this table at The Helping Hands Store and the top needed to be refinished it was in good shape just had a lot of scratches on it anyways when we turned it over someone had wrote on it ...FIRST MEAL APRIL 26 1943 CHICKEN DINNER 5:30 PM thought that was interesting. started thinking about that ...the spring of 1943 world war 2 was being fought and everything including wood was being rationed by the goverment and somebody was lucky enough to be able to buy new furniture and wanted to record their first meal on the bottom of that piece of furniture. Anyways we finished it and it looks great, the top was re stained with Minwax english chestnut and then it received 4 coats of Minwax satin finish polyurethane then the chairs and table legs all were painted with Glidden acrylic latex onyx black satin finish paint. Check out the 4 chairs that came with the table they are really nice and different.

1961 DREXEL dinning set

Michelle found this awesome mid-century piece at one of our favorite Ministry stores that sells donated furniture. This is Drexel furniture and it is of their PARALLEL design of 1961 and is just really cool. The chairs needed recovering and Michelle bought some retro looking fabric from Hobby Lobby and made the chairs look great. This set is for sale on Craigslist/Nashville/furniture for sale by owner/vintage 1961 drexel dinning table. We also have a Coffee table for sale from the same collection.

CINNAMON END TABLE

Bought this at Goodwill for $6.99 and resurfaced the top and finished the lower with cinnamon stick satin finish Glidden paint. I painted the inside of the drawer because some little person had done some art work with a crayon in it also painted the knobs with bronze metallic spray paint.

FINISHED VINTAGE DRESSERS

We finished 3 of 4 vintage dressers we bought last week end and sold one this afternoon.

VINTAGE DRESSER PURCHASE

Vintage furniture is just cool, we buy and sell a lot of 10 to 20 year old furniture and that's good but it is fun to work on older piece's that have character. Michelle put a post on Craigslist that we were buying dresser's,night stands, ect,ect. and a lady in Nashville needed to sell 3 of her old dressers because she was moving, she said they were old anyways we had her son send pic's from his phone to us and we went and bought them and now we are hoping more people will call us because that was a great purchase. The black buffet with the string pulls was purchased at a local thrift store.
